- there’s real feeling against China amongst many, but most know it’s not China’s fault looking after their interests, it’s American leadership wasn’t looking after ours.
The first thing one is taught in any war fighting school (if you’re not current or former military, there is such a thing) is that war serves policy. Soldiers, Sailors and Marines fight (well, some of them), but politicians send them there. Politicians at the highest echelons- think SecNav, SecDef and the like- are not above vetoing the direction the fighters want to take the framework of the force. They do it often. My point in saying that is that if your post is directed at the politicians, that’s where the change would be made, if only it was heard, which it wouldn’t be- because they are politicians.
Trust me when I say that if the Colonels and Commanders of the world could get the funding and the quality of equipment and recruit and tech they desired, most (not all) of them would like less loss and PTSD and fewer nations that wanted to eradicate us from the earth. I got out in 99, and this was true then. I can only imagine that sentiment has grown but obviously I can’t be sure. I dig your message though. Good stuff man.
Reality of war met personally handles the propaganda machine.
There’s nothing historically unusual about what I just wrote, probably most of the long history of war is in line with that, much of the world- the part that fights - practices it.
If America used mercenaries for her Imperial Wars as has been considered wise practice since ancient times this would be applied, in fact we do use mercenaries and the suffering and costs are lower. Also more honest.
Mercantile wars should be fought by mercenaries.
As for democracy not going to war except because of “propaganda” sorry sir, that’s not true.
We have a very childish view of democracy in America and the West for a century. Yes most systems are good matched against the Nazis or Communism.
Mass Education and mass media turned us into children, that is ending.
You are really wanting to believe that half the US, 3/4 of Canada and 90% of NATO Europe want to be deprogrammed. The only way to reverse course is a civilizational collapse. That is more likely than an enlightened understanding as the plebs become aware.
The plague lockdowns proved to the Globalists we desire temporary safety rather than essential liberty.
There is always the problem of getting people to do the nasty stuff unless you can get them to hate and that develops it's own logic.
True, but that’s levee en masse. You don’t need many people if you’re grounded and cynical, and there’s seldom a shortage of willing warriors.
Unless you’ve made the mistake I’m counseling against, in which case cannon fodder until exhaustion it is…
It’s like “regime change” for Iran ; No, Better to kick the can especially from afar than buy the junkyard.
Well, we have a professional army and a grounded CiC but no problem generating hated for Russia just out of inertia.
Among WHO?
Well, interested $ parties and the media.

This is for the Doers.
Also… to your point- sorry. No. The “it’s the politicians” isn’t true IRL. Sorry. If you got the gun, you’re the politician.
Had the same schooling, it wasn’t true.
Good luck trying to reverse engineer the propaganda machine.
I rather enjoy the US recycling "good democracies defeating universal evils" every few months.
It seems you can fool most of the people all the time.
It’s a choice, yes.

No I’m saying what I said.
I also said that personal contact with war dispels propaganda.
Oh and to your point enough coffins and funerals work too.
I don’t know about your percentages BTW.
You say one option; Civilizational collapse.
Well; in that case be certain my resource conflict calculus takes the place of … whatever.
